Tupac: The Thug Who Helped People - Jan. 24, 2007 at 06:03 PM
Tupac Amaru Shakur (given name Lesane Crooks) was a famous rapper and a realist who said the truth without biting his tongue. Tupac was not only a rapper, but he was also a poem writer, actor and a thug. Tupac lived a short life, but in those 25 years he did what someone else would do in their 70 years. He changed the lives of young teenagers by sending messages through his lyrics and poems. He touched hearts of million people through this music. He was a real thug, who talked about reality. Tupac Shakur did not have an easy life. He was a real thug who helped his friends in whatever they need his help. He over came all the struggles that life faced him with. However, he was not a thug who robbed people and killed them for no reasons. He was a thug who helped people. He was a businessman, he was a thug.
Tupac Amaru means shinning serpent and Shakur means thankful to God in Arabic. Tupac Amaru Shakur was born in Lesane Parish Crooks in Brooklyn, NY on June 16 in 1971. He grew up among the leaders of the Black Panther Party. The Black Panther Party was a party that came out of a movement to re-open the New York Public Schools, feed schoolkids breakfast and gain equal civil rights for African-Americans. His mothers name was Alice Faye Williams who later changed her name to Afeni Shakur. She was a section leader in the Black Panther Party. His fathers name William Garland; his step fathers name was Jeral Wayne Williams a.k.a Mutula Shakur. He also has a half-sister Sekyiwa Shakur.

Tupac would always think about other people. He donated a lot of money to different donation organizations, and the main thing is that he was doing it quietly. He didnt want anyone to think that he is doing it to get press coverage. Once he heard about a little girl getting injured and he made the driver to turn the car and drive to the hospital. When he got to the hospital, he talked to the girls parents and showed all his support to them. And he kept in touch with that little girl until the day of his death.
Niccol?iavelli was a famous Italian political philosopher. When Tupac was in jail, he studied Machiavelli in depth. Tupac was Machiavellis fan and he read all his books, but he did not just read them, he also associated them to himself. In Machiavelli's book Discourses Upon the First Ten Books of Titus Livy, in Book 2 Chapter XIII he says "a prince who wishes to achieve great things must learn to deceive". This is a main idea of Machiavelli which is connected to Tupac. After Tupac got out of jail he changed his name from Tupac to Machiavelli.
Now as everyone knows, Tupac Amaru Shakur is dead. He died in 1996 in Las Vegas on September 13 at 4:30. However, people keep thinking that he is still alive. They say that there are a lot of things that do not make things, like, the day he died, his lyrics, and other. (For more info about this you can visit the http://www.tupacfans.com/alive.php). But if you watch the movie Resurrection (2003), you will hear at the beginning about his death humors. A lot of people are going to say that he is alive, but not physically. Tupac will never die. He is alive because a thug like him will never be forgotten in the life of hip-hop.
